Recruiting Flight Commander

Captain Daniel M. Hatzung is an Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies and the Recruiting Flight Commander for Air Force Reserve Officer Training Course (ROTC) Detachment 415 located at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. He is responsible for recruiting, educating, mentoring, and inspiring over 70 prospective officers to become the highest quality leaders in the United States Air Force.

Capt Hatzung was commissioned in 2009 through Air Force ROTC Detachment 415 after graduating from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. He has eight years of active duty service as a Developmental Engineer. His prior experience includes three years conducting flight test and three years managing science and technology programs. Prior to his current assignment, the captain was the Deputy Chief, Mechanical and Thermal Systems Branch, Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.
